Electoral Area "H" Official Community Plan Review

Background

On September 24, 2026, the Regional District initiated a review and update of the Electoral Area "H" Official Community Plan (OCP) Bylaw, which was originally adopted in 2013.

An OCP is a document that states a local government's objectives and policies for land use management. OCPs are used by local governments to guide decisions on community planning, land use applications, and the development of regulatory bylaws such as zoning bylaws.

To support this OCP review, the Regional District will undertake three phases of public engagement to help identify community values, priorities and concerns:
  • Phase 1 – Area-Wide Community Survey
  • Phase 2 – Community-Level Engagement
  • Phase 3 – Presentation of Draft OCP
