Regional Recreation Fall Guide Open for registration
The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen Recreation (RDOS Rec) is tasked to provide recreation services throughout the regional district from a local and regional perspective. These services mainly include recreation programs for all ages, health/ fitness programs, special events/ bookings and in some areas this includes amenities like a rec center or even a pool or bowling alley. As Recreation is often inclusive of many aspects of community wellbeing, Recreation’s work also includes the development of partnerships, management of volunteers, community studies and closely working with community members.
Recreation is critical in communities as a proactive and prevention aspect to health and crime, and additionally contributes positively to the local economy, through tourism and employment. Ultimately, the outcome for RDOS Rec is “Healthy individuals and Communities”.
