INFORMATION RELEASE

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) extends its sincere gratitude to the students and teachers at Summerland Elementary School for their thoughtful and heartfelt gift to the Regional Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).

The hand-crafted plaque, created by Grade five and six students and adorned with paper butterflies and a message of thanks, was a touching reminder of the strength, kindness, and compassion that exists within our communities.

Your generosity means a great deal to the many RDOS staff, emergency responders, partner agencies, and volunteers who worked tirelessly during the Bald Range Wildfire. During challenging times, gestures like yours provide encouragement and remind us why we do this work.

As recovery efforts continue, RDOS staff and partner agencies remain committed to supporting residents affected by the wildfire. Your thoughtful gift serves as a lasting symbol of resilience, hope, and community spirit.

Thank you for your kindness, creativity, and support. It is deeply appreciated. ❤️
