• Residents under an evacuation order should leave their properties immediately to keep safe. Residents must evacuate to the evacuee reception centres located at:  
• Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, 273 Power Street, Penticton 
• Westbank Lions Community Hall, 2466 Main Street, West Kelowna 

• Do not use Forest Service Roads to evacuate. Forest Service Road 201 is open for passenger vehicles travelling between Penticton and Kelowna. Do not rely on Google Maps; it may lead you into the fire boundaries.  For more information on highways and roads, please visit DriveBC.ca.

Temporary Access Pass (TAP)

• Due to the high number of Temporary Access Pass (TAP) applications currently being received, processing times may be longer than usual. Applying does not guarantee access. Wait for approval before travelling to a roadblock. Do not wait at checkpoints. Access points must remain clear for emergency responders. Reapplying will not speed up your request. Approvals are being prioritized based on critical need.

• If you are safe, register with ESS: 1-800-387-4258 or online: ess.gov.bc.ca.

• Reception Centre: Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, 273 Power Street.

• Penticton Community Centre: free showers, washrooms, and kids' play zone. Weekdays: 6:00 am - 8:00 pm; weekends 8:30 am - 6:00 pm.

Comfort Centre and Parking

• Comfort Centre: Princess Margaret Secondary School, 120 Green Avenue West. Daily 10:00 am-8:00 pm. Amenities include washrooms, showers, seating, water, light snacks, an air-conditioned space and recreation areas.

• Parking: King's Park, Skaha Lake Park, Cherry Lane Shopping Centre, Wholesale Club, Penticton Seventh day Adventist Church, Penticton Secondary School overflow lot.

• RV services: Midtown RV, 310 Industrial Avenue West. Sanitary disposal and potable water. Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
• The Comfort Centre is accepting food donations by texting or calling 250-460-0723. They could use snacks, cereal, fruit and veggies. Best to text or call to arrange. Businesses looking to provide a dinner or lunch, please reach out as well. 

Donations 

• Donations are not being accepted at the ESS Reception Centre.
• Financial donations: Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen

• Emergency Donations and Distribution Centre: OneSky Community Resources, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, at Okanagan College Penticton Campus, 583 Duncan Avenue West. Donations of quality items are being accepted. The list of currently needed items is monitored and updated daily at oneskycommunity.com/wildfire-response/.

• Food donations (non-perishable, not expired items): drop-off at Bethel Church, 945 Main Street, Penticton, between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm. Please go to the side door.

• Clothing and bedding: Salvation Army, 2469 South Main Street, Penticton.
• Help Summerland is a volunteer-organized community resource for connecting people; a community board for emergency mutual aid. Anyone can post what they HAVE (shelter, food, supplies) or what they NEED.
