Okanagan Falls Fire Department leadership update

INFORMATION RELEASE

Fred Dobransky has stepped down from his role as chief of the Okanagan Falls Fire Department. The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) would like to thank Fred for his years of service to the community and for continuing to support the department.

Randy Stoltz has accepted a new leadership role within the fire department to support the transitions taking place. His focus will be on the administrative function as he moves into the interim fire chief role in early 2026. The interim designation for this role is in consideration of the incorporation of Okanagan Falls.

Tony Iannella, RDOS protective services coordinator, has accepted the temporary role of interim fire chief to assist the leadership team.

Martin Zenuik will continue as Okanagan Falls deputy fire chief with a focus on operations.

The staffing changes came into effect on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
