Similkameen Recreation Centre – Exterior Landscaping Project

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) will begin the next phase of the exterior landscaping improvements at the Similkameen Recreation Centre on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The project includes the installation of accessible path lighting as well as irrigation and landscaping within the parking lot garden beds.

Please note temporary parking changes may be in effect during the construction period. Signage will be posted to direct visitors to alternate parking areas. The project is expected to take up to one month to complete.

Kobau Park 2025 Improvement Project

• September 16, 2025: work will commence at Kobau Park

Improvements include:

• Irrigation and landscaping enhancements at the north end of the park
• Backstop mesh replacement for both ball diamonds

The project is expected to take up to six (6) weeks. Park users are asked to follow posted signage and exercise caution around active work areas.
