RDOS draft budget receives first reading

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) 2026-2030 Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw No. 3134, 2026, was read a first time during the RDOS Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2026, allowing community consultation to commence.
As part of the budget consultation process, the RDOS is hosting a series of presentations to provide information and gather feedback on RDOS Draft Budget 2026. Budget presentation dates are posted on the RDOS event calendar at rdos.bc.ca and on the budget project page at rdosregionalconnections.ca. Presentation dates are also listed below.
A hybrid budget presentation (online and in person) will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The presentation will take place in the RDOS boardroom at 101 Martin Street in Penticton. Please RSVP by email at communications@rdos.bc.ca or call RDOS Communications at 250-490-4148 if you would like to attend in person.

Budget PowerPoint video presentations will be posted beginning Friday, January 16, 2026. The video presentations will highlight budget recommendations discussed during first reading of RDOS 2026-2030 Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw No. 3134, 2026.
If you have questions or wish to provide feedback to the RDOS Board of Directors, please email budget@rdos.bc.ca, send a letter via regular mail or drop it off at the Regional District office at 101 Martin Street in Penticton, BC, V2A 5J9. Please provide your feedback by Monday, February 2, 2026, at 4:30 pm.
