The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen (RDOS) is inviting residents to learn more about the draft Okanagan Valley Electoral Area Official Community Plan (OCP).
The draft OCP proposes to consolidate the existing Official Community Plan bylaws for Electoral Areas “A”, “C”, “D”, “E”, and “F” into a single, comprehensive planning document for the Okanagan Valley.
An Official Community Plan is a long-term policy framework that outlines a community’s vision and establishes goals and policies to guide decisions related to land use, housing, infrastructure, environmental protection, and community services.
By transitioning from five separate bylaws to one consolidated OCP, the RDOS aims to improve consistency, clarity, and efficiency in land use planning across the valley.
