The Regional District is proposing to expand zoning regulations within Electoral Area "G" by introducing new Conservation Area (CA), Parks and Recreation (PR) and Resource Area (RA) Zones to Electoral Area "G" Zoning Bylaw No. 2781, 2017.

In order to introduce these new zones, amendments are being proposed to the Electoral Area "G" Zoning Bylaw to replace Schedule "2" (Zoning Map) to include the CA, PR, and RA Zones, and to introduce new zoning regulations (e.g. permitted uses, allowable density, and the siting, size and dimensions of buildings/structures) and definitions applicable to those zones. 

Amendments are also being proposed to the Electoral Area "G" Official Community Plan (OCP) Bylaw No. 2975, 2022 to change the land use designation of five parcels acquired by a conservation land trust to CA, and the land use designation of three parcels along Grand Oro Road to reflect their existing Large Holdings ONe (LH1) zoning.
