INFORMATION RELEASE

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is providing an update to information shared on October 6, 2026, regarding a reported door-to-door visit in a wildfire-affected area.

The original notice was issued based on information received by the RDOS indicating that an individual had identified themselves as being with the RDOS while visiting a private property.

Since then, additional information has been received indicating there is no evidence that an individual falsely claimed to represent the RDOS. The RDOS is providing this update to ensure residents have the most current information available.

The RDOS appreciates the assistance of residents and partner agencies in clarifying the circumstances.
