Historic first election approaching for District of Okanagan Falls

Residents of Okanagan Falls are encouraged to prepare for a historic milestone as the community gets ready to elect its first Mayor and Council during the District of Okanagan Falls Inaugural Election on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The inaugural election will establish the first elected municipal government for the newly incorporated District of Okanagan Falls.
General Voting Day will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, with an advance voting opportunity planned for Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Residents can find election information, candidate information, voter resources, and key dates through the District of Okanagan Falls Inaugural Election page on the RDOS Regional Connections interactive site.
The RDOS is encouraging Okanagan Falls residents to verify their voting area before election day using the online Property Search Mapping Tool. Residents can quickly determine where they may be eligible to vote by entering a property address.

Mail ballot applications are also available for eligible resident and non-resident property electors. Applications can be submitted online or obtained in person at the RDOS office at 101 Martin Street in Penticton and the Community Services office in Okanagan Falls.
Residents are encouraged to review candidate information, election resources, and important dates in advance of voting day. Updates will continue to be posted on the District of Okanagan Falls Inaugural Election 2026 project page as the election process progresses.
