Tulameen Days emergency response information
News ArticleINFORMATION RELEASE
Tulameen Days returns to the community of Tulameen, located within Electoral Area “H” in the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS). The RDOS Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), in partnership with the Town of Princeton, Tulameen Fire Department, Tulameen Community Association, and local and provincial emergency service agencies, is working to ensure a safe and family-friendly event.
Due to recent changes, the Tulameen Fire Department will not be providing Medical First Responder or First Aid services during this year’s event (Friday, August 1 to Sunday, August 3, 2025). In response, the Tulameen Community Association and BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) have stepped forward to provide medical support. BCEHS will also maintain an increased presence in the community to help ensure timely emergency care.
Emergency services available during Tulameen Days (August 2 and 3, 2025)
A BCEHS ambulance will be stationed in Tulameen from 1:00 pm to 12:00 am on Saturday and Sunday, with additional staffing to support emergency medical calls. Outside of these hours, medical response will come from BCEHS units based in Princeton or surrounding areas. In the event of a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 and BCEHS will respond. The Tulameen Fire Department will not be dispatched to medical calls. For minor, non-urgent injuries, residents and visitors are encouraged to go to Princeton General Hospital (98 Ridgewood Drive in Princeton) or a walk-in clinic.
Volunteer first aid attendants, coordinated through the Tulameen Community Association, will be on site during event hours to assist with non-emergency medical concerns. First aid services will not be available after hours. The RCMP will also be present throughout the weekend to enhance public safety and ensure a positive, respectful environment for all attendees.
The Princeton Fire Department will provide mutual aid support to the Tulameen Fire Department, offering fire protection and roadside assistance along the Princeton-to-Coalmont corridor. The RDOS EOC Mobile Command Centre will be stationed in Tulameen as a central hub for inter-agency coordination, situational monitoring, and emergency support.
The RDOS extends sincere appreciation to all partner agencies for their ongoing commitment to community safety.
