The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is initiating onsite safety-related work at the Kaleden Hotel Park in Electoral Area “I”. The park is located at the intersection of Second Street and Ponderosa Avenue in Kaleden. 

The RDOS will be installing a split-rail style fence around the Kaleden Hotel structure along with safety-related signage. The decision was a collaborative effort between RDOS staff, the Kaleden Parks and Recreation Commission and Area “I” Director Subrina Monteith, and was guided by a recent review conducted by a structural engineer. 

Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 21, 2024, and is anticipated to be completed within two weeks.
