PIB and BC Wildfire Planning Burn Piles in Near Steward FSR and White Lake Basin

The Penticton Indian Band, in conjunction with the BC Wildfire, plans to burn approximately 1,300 piles of wood debris in several locations throughout the Penticton Fire Zone as part of fuels management projects intended to reduce the wildfire hazard present in:
• Carmi Landscape Level Fuel Break – 800 piles approximately ten kilometres Northeast of Penticton near Steward FSR.
• White Lake Basin – 500 piles Adjacent to the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (DRAO) off of White Lake Road.
