INFORMATION RELEASE

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) celebrates the season with heartfelt greetings and best wishes for a festive holiday and a healthy, prosperous new year.

During the holiday season, the RDOS main office at 101 Martin Street in Penticton will be closed starting Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 3:00 pm and will reopen Monday, January 5, 2026.  

The Okanagan Falls Community Services office at 1109 Willow Street in Okanagan Falls will be closed starting Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and will reopen Monday, January 5, 2026.  

RDOS Landfills:

• Wednesday, December 24 hours:
  • Campbell Mountain Landfill 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
  • Oliver Landfill                             10:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Okanagan Falls Landfill            10:00 am - 1:45 pm
• Campbell Mountain Landfill, Oliver Landfill and Okanagan Falls Landfill will be closed on Thursday, December 25, Friday, December 26 and Thursday, January 1
• Keremeos Transfer Station is open Sundays only from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

RDOS Recreation Centres:

• Similkameen Recreation Centreoffice: closed December 25, 26 and January 1
  • The recreation centre and ice rink will be closed on December 25
  • The gym will remain open for pass-holders
  • Okanagan Falls Recreation Centre: closed December 23 to January 5
