What We Do
The Legislative Services department administers the core strategic functions of the organization:
- Leads the organization's strategic planning
- Provides legislative advice and legal coordination
- Supports the Board of Directors in developing policy and decision-making
- Manages corporate communications
- Administers local government elections and other voting opportunities
- Maintains and preserves Regional District records
- Manages Freedom of Information and Privacy programming
- Coordinates intergovernmental relations
RDOS Communications
RDOS Communications provides support and oversight to ensure information flowing from the Regional District is consistent, accurate, and shared in a timely manner. Communications is a point of contact for journalists and news organizations, providing information and facilitating interview requests. Communications also supports intergovernmental and Indigenous relations.
