INFORMATION RELEASE

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) has received reports of an individual going door to door in wildfire-affected areas, falsely claiming to be an RDOS employee.

Please be advised that this individual is not affiliated with the RDOS.

Residents are encouraged to use caution and avoid sharing personal information with anyone claiming to represent the RDOS unless their identity can be verified.

If you encounter this individual, or if someone approaches your property claiming to be from the RDOS and you are concerned about their identity, please report the incident to the RCMP immediately.

The RDOS takes these reports seriously and is working with partners to help ensure the safety and security of residents affected by the wildfire.
