The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen Emergency Operations Centre (RDOS EOC) activated on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 3:30 pm due to the Grasshopper Mountain Wildfire (K60575) in Electoral Area “H”. The RDOS EOC is issuing an evacuation alert near Tulameen.

The EVACUATION ALERT isfor the following area:

  • Properties west of Tulameen on Lawless Creek Road and Tulameen River Road.

The RDOS EOC is working closely with BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) and the Tulameen Fire Department. The RDOS EOC has been activated to a level one event for monitoring.

The RDOS will continue to keep you informed as new information becomes available.

Evacuation Alert: This evacuation alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuation your premises or property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation; however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.  

If camping or recreating in the alert area, please be ready to evacuate.

Get your grab-and-go bag, a small emergency kit that is easy to take with you, in case you need to leave right away.
