Temporary Access Permit (TAP) update

News Article

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) Emergency Operations Centre is currently reviewing a high volume of Temporary Access Permit (TAP) applications.

If you have already submitted an application, please DO NOT submit a duplicate application or attend a checkpoint unless and until RDOS has approved your application. You will be notified once a decision has been made. Reapplying will not speed up your request.

Temporary Access Pass requests are reviewed for emergency circumstances only and may be assessed based on:

• Life safety considerations

• Livestock welfare

• Critical Infrastructure

• Commercial fruit growing and farming operations

The following are NOT considered emergency circumstances:

• Lawn maintenance

• Landscaping or garden watering

• Property appearance concerns

• Personal pets (unless there are exceptional life-safety or animal welfare circumstances)

• Medication - Please visit a pharmacy for an emergency supply
