Mission

To create a Regional Trails Master Plan that serves the diversity of trail users

Vision

To foster locally-valued and world-renowned trails which provide exceptional opportunities for recreation, community linkage, health and wellness, environmental stewardship and economic benefits

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen, in cooperation with its member municipalities, is developing a Regional Trails Master Plan (RTMP).  A Regional Trails Master Plan Committee has been created to oversee the plan. Committee members include volunteer trail maintenance groups, government agencies and other stakeholders.

The Regional District welcomes input regarding trails within our boundaries.

Regional Trails Master Plan - Report

At the March 15, 2012 Board meeting the Board resolved to receive the Regional Trails Master Plan for information. 

Over the upcoming weeks Regional District staff will meet with Electoral Area Directors and Municipal Staff to review Management Unit directions, recommendations and mapping.  Additional edits may occur to the Regional Trails Master Plan at the conclusion of these meetings.

At this time the Report is NOT in final form.
