Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a thunderstorm watch for much of the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS).

The RDOS Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) is monitoring the developing weather system and is aware of washouts affecting Fish Lake Road in the Faulder area (Electoral Area “F”).

AIM Roads and the Ministry of Transportation and Transit are currently on site assessing conditions. Updates on road closures, detours, and travel conditions will be available at DriveBC.ca.

Residents are reminded to exercise caution when travelling, remain alert for sudden heavy rainfall, and watch for debris, pooling water, or rapidly changing road conditions caused by wind and rain.

The RDOS EOC remains active in support of Bald Range Wildfire recovery efforts and will continue to monitor conditions and share important information as it becomes available.
