Sun Valley Water System
Engineering Projects and Reports

The Sun Valley Water System was transferred to RDOS governance effective 2017. The water system consists of a combination of pumps and a 60,000 gal cement reservoir. The system supplies 28 connected properties with a combinations of residential and irrigation use water. In 2017 a SCADA system was installed in order to facilitate remote monitoring and system control. In 2018 the header and pressure supply pumps were replaced with VFD controlled pumps. The switch to VFD control allowed for reduced power consumption and more consistent control of the water pressure. The current connections consume the full allotment of licensed water from the well and so no further connections can be considered at this time.
