RDOS extends condolences to Indigenous neighbours

News Article

On behalf of the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) Board of Directors and staff, deepest condolences are extended to our syilx Okanagan friends, family, and neighbours experiencing the loss of PIB Elder Grace Greyeyes.

“We’re honoured to have spent time with Grace Greyeyes at various events, most recently at the Pow Wow Between the Lakes in SnPink’tn,” said Mark Pendergraft, RDOS Chair. “Her smile and positive demeanour were always a welcome sight.”

The RDOS Board is heartened to learn Grace Greyeyes was able to realize her bucket list goal earlier this year, visiting Hawaii and meeting with elders of the island.
