BC Wildfire Service has renamed the Lone Pine Creek wildfire (K52318) the Eagle Bluff wildfire. Washington State Department of Natural Resources

The next update is scheduled at 10:00 am on Sunday, July 30, 2023. In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1.

 Evacuation ORDER

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen Emergency Operations Centre (RDOS EOC) and the Town of Osoyoos EOC have issued an Evacuation ORDER for 732 properties in Electoral Area “A” and the Town of Osoyoos due to the Eagle Bluff wildfire (K52318). The ORDER covers the area north of the Canada/U.S. border to the intersection of Hwy #97 and Hwy #3, west and north along Hwy #3.

Evacuation ALERT
The Regional District and the Town of Osoyoos EOC have issued an Evacuation ALERT for 2,094 properties in Electoral Area "A", "B" and "C" and the Town of Osoyoos, effective Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11:30 pm due to the Eagle Bluff wildfire (K52318).

Declaration of State of Local Emergency
With the power authorized under Section 12 (1) of the Emergency Program Act (RS, 1996, Chap 111) it is now declared that a state of local emergency exists in the RDOS for all of Electoral Area “A” and “B”. The State of Local Emergency commences immediately on July 29, 2023, to remain in force for seven days until date August 5, 2023, at midnight unless revoked by order of Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen or the Minister responsible.

If you are on an Evacuation ALERT or ORDER, or if you have been displaced from your home due to an emergency, please self-register for ESS. Evacuee Registration & Assistance (ERA): ess.gov.bc.ca

An ESS reception centre has been activated at the Oliver Community Centre located at 6359 Park Dr. in Oliver. Please visit the reception if you require supports. If you can stay with family or friends in the region, please do so.
