RDOS holiday hours

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) office at 101 Martin Street in Penticton will be closed over the holidays beginning Friday, December 25, 2020. The economic development office in Okanagan Falls will also be closed. Both offices will reopen Monday, January 4, 2021.

Curbside collection

Please note, landfill hours will be reduced over the winter. Check your local curbside calendar for details or click here to view the information release. Some communities have added an extra recycling collection week during the holidays. If a missed collection occurs, please contact Waste Connections of Canada at 250-490-3888, 250-498-4888 or toll free at 1-866-998-4888.

Landfills

A reminder, landfills are open throughout the holiday season although closed on statutory holidays. 

COVID-19

By order and direction of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), all events and social gatherings are suspended to significantly reduce COVID-19 transmission related to social interactions and travel. You can find COVID-19 links and information on the RDOS website.

Public meetings, consultations, group and commission meetings are being held electronically. RDOS board meetings are also being held electronically and available to view online. You can access all RDOS electronic meetings and events at rdos.webex.com
