The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) will be holding a Public Information Meeting regarding a rezoning proposal involving the property at 9540 and 9550 Chute Lake Road and legally described as District Lot 511S, SDYD and Lot 1, Plan KAP28183, Sublot 9, District Lot 2711, SDYD, together with Leased Crown Land, as follows:

The purpose of the rezoning is to facilitate the development of new glam tents, cabins, and the lodge at Chute Lake Resort.  More specifically, it is being proposed to change the designation of the subject parcel as follows:

• from part Resource Area (RA) and part Parks and Recreation (PR) to Commercial Tourism (CT) under the Electoral Area “E” Official Community Plan (OCP) Bylaw No. 2459, 2008; and
• from part Commercial Tourist One (CT1), part Resource Area (RA), and part Parks and Recreation (PR) to Commercial Tourist One Site Specific (CT1s) under the Electoral Area “E” Zoning Bylaw No. 2458, 2021.

 The applicant as well as Regional District staff will be available to answer any questions residents may have regarding this rezoning, and to also receive written submissions.
