Being FireSmart is our shared responsibility and we all have a role to play in reducing the wildfire threat to our homes. Neighbours are encouraged to work together to limb, trim, rake, thin and haul flammable debris to the chipper for disposal. The event will be held at Heritage Hills Park with chipper available from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. If you would like to volunteer at this event or for more information email hhlhfiresmart@gmail.com 

• Remove flammable coniferous shrubs and hedges, keep them at least a 10 metre radius from your home
• Remove flammable ground cover such as bark and wood chips, keep them at least a 2 metre radius from your home
• Store propane tanks and wood piles at least 10 metres away from your home
