Being FireSmart is our shared responsibility and we all have a role to play in reducing the wildfire threat to our homes. Neighbours are encouraged to learn about what it means to be FireSmart and FireSmart landscaping principles.

• Remove flammable coniferous shrubs and hedges, keep them at least a 10 metre radius from your home
• Remove flammable ground cover such as bark and wood chips, keep them at least a 2 metre radius from your home
• Store propane tanks and wood piles at least 10 metres away from your home
