EOC Update: State of Local Emergency declared for Electoral Area H July 15, 2021

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) advises that due to the Brenda Creek wildfire in Electoral Area H and the potential threat to life and property a State of Local Emergency (SOLE) has been issued.

WHEREAS due to the Brenda Creek wildfire in Electoral Area “H” and the imminent threat to life and property; and,

With the power authorized under Section 12 (1) of the Emergency Program Act (RS, 1996, Chap 111) it is now declared that a state of local emergency exists in the RDOS for Electoral Area “H”, south of Brenda Mine in the community of Headwaters.

The State of Local Emergency commences immediately on July 15, 2021 to remain in force for seven days until July 21, 2021 at midnight unless revoked by order of the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen or the Minister responsible.
