The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS), in partnership with BC Transit, is inviting interested community members to attend an information session about the implementation of the Greater West Bench Transit system. Transit service is scheduled to begin in the Greater West Bench area beginning January 2022.

The event is scheduled on Thursday, November 25, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm in the West Bench Elementary School parking lot located at 1604 West Bench Drive. The session will take place on a parked BC Transit bus where staff will tour attendees through the bus, answer any questions, as well as present engagement materials and route information. COVID-19 protocols will be in place and attendees must wear masks while inside the bus.

This opportunity is an information session introducing transit service to Greater West Bench. Next year, the RDOS and BC Transit will continue public engagement once the service is operating in order to gather feedback and identify future improvement areas as necessary.
