RDOS information system update

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) continues to operate with limited access to its internal system network and email services. An attempted ransomware attack last week required Information Services (IS) staff to isolate the network and take email, Internet and other services offline.
IS staff continue to work with cyber insurance experts to validate the integrity of the servers prior to bringing them back online. There is currently no estimated for resumption of full services. The RDOS thanks the public and the media for their patience during this time, and will be providing daily information system updates on the RDOS website under Hot Topics.

View the board agenda for the regular RDOS Board meeting of Thursday, August 20 at the RDOS website under Hot Topics. The meeting will also be available to watch online. In addition, board decisions will be reported out immediately following the meeting.
