EOC Update: News Conference at 12:00 pm at 21 Lakeshore Drive, Penticton

The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen (RDOS) and the City of Penticton will host a joint news conference today at 12:00 pm to provide an update on the Christie Mountain Wildfire. Representatives from the BC Wildfire Service, the RDOS and the City of Penticton will be in attendance to provide updates and answer questions. Media are welcome to attend the news conference which will take place at the Penticton Lakeside Resort and Conference Centre (Salon C) at 21 Lakeshore Drive, Penticton, BC. Any media that attend in person are encouraged to wear a mask and follow protocols for social distancing. The City and RDOS are introducing additional technology at today’s event to improve the audio available. Media will have access to a press box with a direct feed from the podium microphone.

Only representatives with the media will be allowed to attend in person. Residents can watch the news conference live through the City of Penticton’s Facebook account (@cityofpenticton). A video recording will be posted to the RDOS and City of Penticton YouTube channels following the news conference.
