Indoor worm composting is a great way to compost fruit and vegetable scraps inside your home. Worm castings make an excellent fertilizer.
Yard Waste Drop Off Program at Landfills
Yard waste includes tree and hedge prunings, garden plants, pine needles and cones, windfall fruit, grass clippings and leaves. Materials are chipped and used to make compost or provided to farmers as animal bedding. All landfills in the RDOS accept up to 500 kg per load of yard waste free of charge.
City of Penticton Compost
The City of Penticton sells compost to the general public at the Campbell Mountain Sanitary Landfill.
