After serving with the Canadian Infantry in Germany I returned to Canada where I served as a police officer in Ottawa for 16 years. From Ottawa I returned to my home province, British Columbia eventually settling in the Lower Mainland. I was employed with the Insurance Corporation of BC for just under 20 years, eventually retiring in Okanagan Falls.
My interests have been politics from the time I was a youth at the Vernon Prep School (Mackie School). My interest in good governance has always been foremost and with that background I became involved in local politics in 2002. Following my successful election that year I had the opportunity to work with the communities of Area D and the RDOS in general bringing forth important legislation. In November 2008 I was acclaimed for the second time to serve the Area, an honor I humbly recognize.
My special, but not inclusive interests in governance evolve around Air Quality, the Linear Trail network, Rural Policing and the Regional Library System.
