I live in the beautiful pristine setting of Harmony-One Vineyards overlooking the south Similkameen Valley. I moved to the Cawston area in 1999, to fulfil a life long dream of growing grapes and getting into the wine business. Since moving here, I have been busy building my vineyard and will soon be making wine commercially.

I moved to this valley from Yukon. I lived in Whitehorse for 24 years and worked as a manager for NorthwesTel in the telecom industry and as an executive for the Yukon Housing Corporation. My education background is in Business Administration.

In the telecom industry many of my management roles were in the area of Human Resources. I have had experience in recruitment, benefits, compensation, corporate training and health and safety. My specialty is in organization evaluation and corporate design. Many of my roles were in assessing staff, systems and processes for efficiency and maximum service. I also managed an inbound customer call center that provided 3 services and had 150 plus employees.

I had the opportunity to serve as Director and Chair of Yukon Housing Corporation. for 8 years. This dynamic crown corporation provided staff and public housing, loan programs for home or energy upgrades, home repairs, home technology research and housing production and design for export to countries like Chile and Russia. It was a pleasure to lead and work with so many high energy, creative and competent people.

While in Yukon, I was an active mediator working to resolve family and commercial disputes. Training through the Justice Institute of BC helped me to establish and maintain this as a successful sideline business.

Downsizing of the telephone industry gave me the opportunity to pursue my dream of the wine business. I must admit that winters are easier in the south and that the lifestyle in the South Okanagan and Similkameen valleys is very good. It is a great place to enjoy a clean and healthy life!
